Have you ever seen a Facebook post and wondered, how did they get so many likes and/or comments?
Short answer: It is all in the content.
Let me explain. Tuesday, March 24, 2015 was National Puppy Day. As a way to get followers to engage with the Facebook page of the Janesville Gazette, we created a puppy post. The main components, of this post, were an engaging topic, a great photo and a call to action.
Here is the post:
Having a call to action and asking the followers to share their puppy pictures generated a great response. As you can see, the National Puppy Day post received 20 likes, 52 comments, and 2 shares, all in less than 24 hours. For just a little bit of work, this post reached 2,540 people.
